30 years ago, the World Wide Web started as a multi-computer file sharing system. With an openness spirit, CERN made the software available to everyone. Now the internet plays many important roles in our lives. Problems also arised such as malicious hacking and the misusing of information. To make the web a better place, internet inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee suggests that we adhere to World Wide Web Foundation's Contract for the Web, which outlines role-specific principles to be followed by governments, companies and citizens.
