This week is an unforgettable week in my life not only because it is the first week during my overseas further study but also due to the overwhelming feeling it brings me through the tremendous number of reading lists. I feel like being a clueless tortoise, being left far behind and struggling with reviewing the past courses and preparing for the coming ones. Believe me that I am not trying to exaggerate anything as the fact is the length of schooling of Graduate Diploma is compressed from 15 months to 10 months, and as a result, the related curriculum is rather intensively arranged, even sometimes without giving us time to grab a snack or go to the loo.
It is a pretty fresh experience returning to the campus while I recognize that everything is ONLY available online, to be specific, in the school owned online system, including the lecture and tutorial material, announcements and discussion, submission and feedback of assignments and of course the 'adorable' reading lists. Taking this morning as an example, as the teacher of Digital Learning Team introduced and illustrated Google Docs and Google Drive to us, I acted like a three-year-old child, observing and imitating what a knowledgeable adult was doing. To be honest, I am more than happy that someone would like to introduce such new techniques to me, since I am so obsessed with almighty Google applications! Just when all new things come altogether, you know, I find myself can hardly breathe and enjoy this whole process at ease.
Something I learnt from previous experiences was that every time I grow, it is somehow painful and this sense is likely to accompany me all the way along. But as long as I stick to the end with gratitude and resilience, I will smile back and look more beautiful than ever before. Maybe this is what life is, just like the butterfly coming out of the cocoon, painful but worthwhile. I hope that things will work out gradually and I can keep being on the track and manage to enjoy an efficient and rewarding learning process.
